UPSAC Privacy Policy
Why We Collect Information from You
- The first reason is to help us stay in touch with you and keep
you informed about activities and events.
- The second reason is so we can solicit your ideas and opinions
on how UPSAC can better serve the California pier and shore angling public.
- And the last reason is to allow us to present ourselves as a united
front on public policy issues that impact California pier and shore fishing.
How We Will Protect The Data You Submit
- Some data you submit will be publicly accessible by members or folks
on the web. We'll let you know what will be public and what will be
private. For example Surveys will contain a little of both and we may
limit the scope of who sees that data; but the key is we'll tell you in
simple words what we're going to do with data you give us.
- UPSAC promises to never give your name, address, email or phone number
to any other organization for any purpose whatsoever, without your explicit
consent. This consent will always be explicitly an opt-in process
where the default will be to not give your information out unless you
took action to grant that permission to us.
- UPSAC promises to never sell your private data to any commercial
organization for any purpose.
- UPSAC promises to require that any private data you submit will
always be subject to an equally strict or more strict set of privacy
rules in any organizational re-arrangements, mergers, or re-incorporations,
and any inability to enforce this privacy policy upon your data will cause
us to delete your data.
- UPSAC will never provide unprotected public access on-line to
your data. Specifically, we will endeavour to block web and email spiders
from ascertaining any data whatsoever, and we will always require a username
and password to read, create, or edit any personal data.
